"Bags of Hope" - Nashville Flood 2010
Each of us knows someone who has been affected in some way by the recent flooding in Middle Tennessee. One way we have felt led to minister to flood victims is by assembling "Bags of Hope." Wednesday May 12, we will assemble bags to be given out to flood victims.
Our goal is to fill as many bags as possible with the following items:
- non-perishable food items with pop tops
- disposable razors
- new wash rags
- toothbrushes
- toothpaste (travel size)
- deodorant (travel size)
- soap or body wash (travel size)
- shampoo (travel size)
- baby wipes (travel size)
- feminine hygiene products
- zip-top sandwich bags
We will include a copy of one or our pastor's books, "Prayer: Your Own LetterTo God" or "Dear God" with each bag of hope as we seek to fulfill spiritual needs as well as physical needs. You may donate any of the items listed above or you may donate money designated for "Bags of Hope" by sending your donation to Grace Baptist Church, 1510 Old Hickory Blvd, Nashville TN 37207.
